Seriously I got that hood from VIS for 550 I think, and it was worth every penny, my car runs soo much cooler from the venting. It soo much better than having a insulated aluminum stock hood that makes the engine compartment retain heat like a thermos.
To Hell with Porsches, or at least my rear view mirror. When attempting advanced DIY's on your Z keep this in mind.
1. Creative solutions work in pre-school Arts and Crafts, or the Insanely Detailed engineering of your Z will become arts and crafts.
2. Outline your work, it should go like this:

b. (What I DID)
